Kim, currently in Triple-A despite a strong rookie season (.280 average, Gold Glove in Korea), could be a valuable addition to the Red Sox. He is fast, versatile, capable of playing second base, shortstop, third base, and the outfield, and hits well against both lefties and righties.
The Red Sox already have infield depth with Caleb Durbin, Andruw Monasterio, and Romy González (when healthy). However, they could use Kim if Durbin doesn't improve or if Marcelo Mayer struggles. Kim would be a cheap acquisition, and the Dodgers may be open to trading him given the lack of clear playing time in their organization.
