Nacua entered a rehab program before the lawsuit was filed, according to his attorney Levi McCathern. The lawsuit claims the player made an antisemitic statement and bit the accuser’s shoulder on New Year’s Eve. McCathern said the rehab was not a response to the allegations but an effort to improve his behavior.
Nacua apologized in December for a livestream gesture that played on antisemitic tropes. He has been one of the Rams’ most productive receivers, leading the league with 129 catches last season and posting 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns. He is eligible for a contract extension this offseason.
