Kentucky Eyes Liberty Guard Brett Decker Jr.

Liberty guard Brett Decker Jr., a native of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, is a top transfer target for the Wildcats after posting 16.9 points per game and earning First‑Team All‑Conference USA honors.

Brett Decker Jr., who played high school ball at Central Hardin in Elizabethtown, has emerged as a prolific scorer for the Liberty Flames. In the 2025‑26 season he averaged 16.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game, shooting 49.9% from the floor and 47.1% from beyond the arc. His performance earned him First‑Team All‑Conference USA honors.

Kentucky’s new head coach Mark Pope has highlighted Decker as a potential addition to a system that struggled with consistent three‑point shooting last season. With his sharp shooting and Kentucky roots, Decker could help the Wildcats return to the style that propelled the Cats to the Sweet 16 under Pope’s first roster.
