The 2026 World Cup playoffs will decide the final six spots, with European and intercontinental matches set for Tuesday. Italy faces Bosnia-Herzegovina in a bid to secure a berth.

The final six World Cup places will be decided this week. Eight European teams will contest four spots in winner‑take‑all matches: Bosnia‑Herzegovina vs Italy, Sweden vs Poland, Kosovo vs Turkey, and Czech Republic vs Denmark. The winners join the 16 European slots already set for the 48‑team tournament.

In the intercontinental playoff, six teams compete for two spots. Congo will play Jamaica and Bolivia will face Iraq in matches held in Guadalajara and Monterrey. The tournament, co‑hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, kicks off on June 11 at Azteca Stadium and ends on July 19 at MetLife Stadium.
